Home

I am writing this completely devastated and broken hearted.  Melissa and Jeremy have decided to take Samuel back to Akron so he can be at home when he goes to his final home with his heavenly father.  Home is so important to Jeremy and Melissa so this is the perfect place to bring Samuel for his final days.  As you can imagine, this was not an easy decision, but the best one for Samuel.

I would like to tell you about the amazing and strong people my sister and brother-in-law are.  The strength they have shown throughout the past six days has been remarkable.  Samuel needed two wonderful people to become his parents and God knew what He was doing when He chose them. They have shown Samuel more love during his short time than most people experience their entire lives.  They will continue to show this love throughout Samuel's final days.

After I heard the news and spent time digesting it, I received a text message from Jeremy asking me to come in and take pictures for them while they held Samuel for only the second time.  I prepared myself to walk into the room to find two first time parents grieving over their son; however, the picture below is the scene I walked in on.  Two parents holding their baby reading to him.  The strength these two young parents possess is amazing!  They plan to spend the next few days reading and holding him.  Two things that have made all three of them very happy.

Please continue to hold Jeremy, Melissa, and Samuel in your prayers as well as the entire Dean and Pressdee families.
